ANDRE DIRRELL SET TO SIGN WITH MAYWEATHER PROMOTIONS?

Undefeated 35 year old boxing superstar, Floyd Mayweather (42-0, 26 KO’s) is facing retirement in the not-too-distant future and it looks as though he is showing signs that he means business with Mayweather Promotions by building up a strong roster of young and upcoming talent.
Strong rumours within the industry indicate that top super middleweight Andre Dirrell (20-1, 14 KO’s) is being lined up to sign with Mayweather Promotions. 28 year old Dirrell’s contract with Gary Shaw Promotions had recently expired and he is expected to sign with Mayweather Promotions very shortly.
Dirrell’s last fight was against Darryl Cunningham (24-3, 10 KO’s) on the 30th December 2011, which he won via second-round KO.
With Dirrell competing in one of boxing’s hottest and strongest divisions, Mayweather will be looking to create some exciting match-ups for the fans. Possibilities include a rematch with Carl Froch and fights with Lucian Bute, Kelly Pavlik, Rob Stieglitz, Arthur Abraham & George Groves to name a few or even a fight with the current number one 168 lb fighter in the world Andre Ward, although Ward himself isn’t too keen on the idea after Dirrell already pulled out of a scheduled fight between the two in the Super 6 tournament.
Rumours have also been making headlines recently about Mayweather Promotions wanting to sign Cuban 126 lb’er Yuriorkis Gamboa (21-0, 16 KO’s), but he seems tied up in an iron clad contract with Top Rank Promotions for the foreseeable future.
Currently in Mayweather’s stable are;
Welterweight prospect Jessie Vargas (18-0, 9 KO’s), junior middleweight Deandre Latimore (23-3, 17 KO’s) and Floyd Mayweather himself.
