Carlos Condit vs. Robbie Lawler At UFC 193 For the UFC Title
Los Angeles, CA (August 5, 2015)– Lawler will defend his UFC welterweight title against the former UFC interim and WEC welterweight champ, Carlos Condit at UFC 193 on Nov 14th. This was confirmed by MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani. Bleacher Report’s Jeremy Botter initially reported the possibility of the fight.
Lawler (26-10, 1 NC) is coming off his victory over Rory MacDonald at UFC 189 in one of the greatest fights in mixed martial arts history.
Condit (30-8), meanwhile, has a reputation for exciting fights every bit as solid as Lawler. After more than a year out due to an ACL injury, Condit returned on May 30 and finished Thiago Alves in the second round of a fight in Brazil. That was the 28th win via finish out of Condit’s 30 career wins.
While the date and city are set, the UFC 193’s venue remains undecided.
