THE RETURN OF THE KING: ARTHUR ABRAHAM
By: Boxing Frank Rivera
King Arthur Abraham (32-3, 26 KOs) makes his ring return to boxing on Jan 14th in Baden-Arena, Offenburg, Germany. The event is sold out, many of his fans anticipating to see him back in the ring since May 14, 2011. The last time we saw King Abraham was in the semi-finals of the Super Six Tournament, when he faced Andre Ward. On Saturday night King Abraham will be fighting Pablo Farias (19-1,11 KOs) in what should be a tune-up fight for the former champion.
The former IBF Middleweight Champion wants to be world champion again and is very grateful for the support of his fans. ”King Arthur promise to put on a great show for the German fans and that 2012 will be a big year for him
Not much is known about Pablo Farias, he is (19-1, 11 KO’s) 24 years old and is from Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina. Anything is possible in the sport of boxing. The boxing gods always have something special in stored for the fans, but on this night I do not believe we will see such a thing like we did last year with James Kirkland vs Nobuhiro Ishida. This will be another tune-up fight for a former champion making a comeback, but one really never knows.
