DAZN Presents 12 Bout Card: Tito Mercado & Claressa Shields, State Farm Arena in Atlanta

 Atlanta, Georgia (August 14th, 2026)– DAZN will present a 12-bout card of professional boxing at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, featuring Ernesto ‘Tito’ Mercado and Claressa Shields in title bouts on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

 This reporter predicts Mercado will win by 10-round unanimous decision over Emmanuel Tagoe in a hard-fought bout for the World Boxing Organisation International Super Lightweight title. Odds have Mercado as the favorite at -2500, fractional odds 16: 1 to 20:1 as the favorite, with Tagoe the underdog at +730 to +1000, fractional odds at 7.5:1 to 10:1.

 Mercado, newly signed with Salita Promotions after leaving Matchroom Boxing, is predicted to win by this reporter by 12 rounds unanimous decision over a game Emmanuel Tagoe in defense of his World Boxing Organisation International Lightweight title.

 Mercado, age 24, 19-0, 18 knockouts, Pomona, California, 5’10” with 74 inches of reach, an aggressive style and tremendous knockout punching power. At age 37, the Ghanian Tagoe is 34-2 with 16 knockouts, Acfra, Ghana, at 5’8″ shorter than Mercado, is more experienced, durable, and possesses considerable technical skill with a formidable defense.

 Daniel Mercado is predicted to win by knockout over Rahmel McKinley, super welterweights, in the opening bout.

 Casey Dixon is predicted to win by stoppage over Michael Nelson, Super Middleweights.

 Jacquan McElroy is predicted to win by six-round unanimous decision over Alexander Thiel, super welterweights.

 Shannel Butler is predicted to win by decision over Marianela Soledad Martinez, female featherweights, two-minute rounds.

 Da’Velle Smith is predicted to win by eight-round unanimous decision over Hakim Lopez, Super Middleweights.

 Danielle Perkins is predicted to win by unanimous decision over eight rounds against Olivia Curry, female light heavyweights, two-minute rounds.

 Atif Oberlton is predicted to win by stoppage over Roamer Alexis Angulo, light heavyweights.

 Ashleyann Lozada is predicted to win by 10-round unanimous decision over Paulette Cuesta, female super bantamweights, two-minute rounds.

 Troy Isley is predicted to win by 10-round unanimous decision over Joseph Hicks, middleweights.

 Claressa Shields is predicted to win by stoppage over Kaye Scott in a World Boxing Council Female Middleweight title contest. Shields has 18 bouts of experience to Scott’s seven bouts. Scott holds the title, as Shields has been bouncing around in different weight classes, winning titles.

 Bernice Ferreira is predicted to win by a 10-round unanimous decision over Caroline Veyre in a World Boxing Council and International Boxing Organisation female World Super Featherweight title contest.
