CONOR MCGREGOR’S UPDATED ARREST DETAILS

Brooklyn, NY (April 6th, 2018)– Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor turned himself into police Thursday and was arrested and charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief after his role in a fracas that left UFC fighter Michael Chiesa in the hospital with a facial laceration. The incident took place after a media event ahead of Saturday’s UFC 223 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

According to the Independent, McGregor was held overnight and remained in police custody early Friday morning as he awaited a court appearance in Brooklyn. MMA Fighting reported that Cian Cowley, McGregor’s SBG teammate, also was charged with one count of assault and one count of criminal mischief over the incident.

Michael Chiesa has filed a police report against Conor McGregor after he was injured during the Irishman’s alleged attack on a charter bus on Thursday in Brooklyn, New York, according to TMZ.

McGregor turned himself in at the New York City Police Department after a video of the incident surfaced. The video appears to show the him hurling objects into the bus and shattering a window. As a result, multiple fighters were injured. Chiesa sustained facial lacerations that necessitated his withdrawal from a main card bout with Anthony Pettis, and Ray Borg suffered a corneal abrasion that forced him to exit his scheduled clash with Brandon Moreno. Meanwhile, McGregor’s SBG Ireland teammate, Artem Lobov, was pulled from his booking opposite Alex Caceres due to his alleged involvement in the incident.

McGregor was led out of the 78th Precinct in Brooklyn for a court appearance Friday morning, according to video posted by New York’s WNBC. Check out the videos below.
