Travis Kauffman To Face Dangerous Southpaw Vincent Thompson at Sands Bethlehem

Promoter Marshall Kauffman and King’s Promotions presents its first card of exciting championship boxing of 2014 at the Sands Events Center. Hard hitting heavyweight Travis ‘My Time’ Kauffman, 27-1 with 20 knockouts, Reading, Pennsylvania, ranked number nine in the world by the World Boxing Association, looks for his tenth win in a row when he faces dangerous southpaw ‘Vicious’ Vincent Thompson in the scheduled ten round main event at Sands Bethlehem Casino on Saturday, January 25, 2013. Thompson, now 13-1 with two knockouts, Federal Way, Washington, has lost only once, a close decision to undefeated southpaw Charles Martin in September of 2013. Real Combat Media favors Kauffman to win by late round stoppage anytime from the eighth round on in what could be a very thrilling and entertaining contest, given Kauffman faces a southpaw challenge.
The undercard features a number of interesting bouts, including: 10-0 Philadelphia bantamweight prospect Miguel ‘No Fear’ Cartagena is favored against 15-15-2 Felipe ‘Panterita’ Rivas of Nogales, Mexico in an eight rounder; 10-1 Puerto Rican southpaw super featherweight prospect Frank Santos De Alba is favored against 6-3-1 Chazz McDowell of Yonkers, New York in an eight rounder; and local lightweight favorite Travis ‘The Animal’ Thompson of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, coming off a decision win over Julius Leegrand at the Sands in December 2013, will face 4-1-1 Samuel Omar Quiniones Jr. of York, Pennsylvania, in a rock’em sock’em bout which could go either way. Also scheduled to appear are: lightweights Robert Ramos and Gerald Smith; light heavyweights Khalib Whitmore, Angel Concepcion, and Reymere Palmer; and welterweights Christian Molina and Bernel Ayres.
Doors at the Sands Events Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, will open at 6:16 P.M., with the first bout at 7:15 P.M.
