
Carlos Llinas CLIP Promotions Presents Monroe Friday Night Boxing Pro-Am Card

Eastchester, MI (March 31st, 2022)– Promoter Carlos Llinas and CLIP Promotions will present a 15 bout amateur and professional Pro-Am boxing card at The Opportunity Center at ALCC, 120 Eastchester, Monroe, Michigan, on Friday night, April 1, 2022. Standing room only seats will still be available at the door, but the 400 ticket seat venue has been sold out in advance.
Eleven three-round amateur bouts are scheduled, subject to change. Former welterweight contender Andre Gorges of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, is the coach of the visiting Canadian boxing team. Bout one will feature Brett Bray, Joe’s ALCC Boxing Club, Monroe, Michigan, who will fight a three-rounder against Joan Jacintos Texto, Azteca Boxing Club, Pontiac, Michigan, 108 pounds. Bout two will feature Thomas Amison, Joe’s ALCC Boxing Club, Monroe, Michigan, who will fight a three-rounder against Fernando Melchor, Aztecas Boxing Club, Pontiac, Michigan, at 85 pounds. Bout three will feature Ari Hunter, Joe’s ALCC Boxing Club, who will fight a three-rounder against Greg Smedley, Big Dogs Boxing Club, Port Huron, Michigan, 132 pounds.
Bout four will feature Arturo Saucedo, Azteca Boxing Club, Pontiac, Michigan, who will fight a three-rounder against Drake Enriquez, Border City Boxing Club, Windsor, Canada, for 125 pounds. Bout five will feature Rus Smedley, Big Bogs Boxing Club, Port Huron, Michigan, who will fight a three rounder against Josh Hernandez, Border City Boxing Club, Windsor, Canada, 135 pounds. Bout six will feature Jeffrey Venier, Joe’s ALCC Boxing Club, Monroe, Michigan, versus Lucas Faulkner, Border City Boxing Club, Windsor, Canada, 112 pounds.
Bout seven will feature Kahmel Makled, Jabs Boxing Club, Birmingham, Michigan, who will fight a three rounder against Dan Findley, Big Dogs Boxing Club, Port Huron, Michigan, for 185 pounds. Bout eight will feature Gavin Geck, Mallo Boxing Gym, Chesterfield, Michigan, who will fight a three rounder against Jayden Trudell, Border City Boxing Club, 154 pounds. Bout nine will feature Leonard McDonald, Jabs Boxing Club, Birmingham, Michigan, will fight a three-rounder against Nico Alonzi, Beast Mode Boxing Club, Waterford Township, Michigan, 141 pounds.
Bout ten will feature Santino Dedvukaj, Jabs Boxing Club, Birmingham, Michigan, who will fight a three-rounder against Julian Nobles, Big Dogs Boxing Club, Port Huron, Michigan, 132 pounds. Bout eleven will feature Aaron Carter, Joe’s ALCC Boxing Club, who will fight a three rounder against Jack Nantaig, Border City Boxing Club, Windsor, Canada, 165 pounds.
Four professional bouts will be featured with fighters trained by former Michigan welterweight contender Todd Riggs and Keith Vining of the Kronk Gym after the amateur portion of the card is held. Debuting middleweight Alexis Torres, a 2014 Ohio Golden Gloves champion, will open the professional part of the card in a four-rounder against 0-4 Richard Tucker of Toledo, Ohio. 1-0 heavyweight Vernon Webber, Clinton, Michigan, will fight a four-rounder against 1-3 southpaw Marcus Moulding of Owosso, Michigan. Debuting cruiserweight Zachary Drummond of Monroe, Michigan, a 2014 Ohio Golden Gloves champion, will fight a four-rounder against debuting Brandon Freeman, of Toledo, Ohio. 1-0 super welterweight Matthew Niziolek of Monroe, Michigan, a 2014 Ohio Golden Gloves champion, will fight a four-rounder against 0-1 Derek Reyes of Saint Clair Shores, Michigan.
Doors open at 6 P.M., first amateur bout will begin at 7 P.M. on Friday evening, April 1, 2022, at the Opportunity Center (The Center) at Arthur Lesow Community Center, 120 Eastchester, Monroe, Michigan 48161.
