UFC Flyweight Allan Nascimento Dies at 34 After Apparent Heart Attack

São Paulo, Brazil, (August 3rd, 2026)–UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento has died at the age of 34, the promotion confirmed Monday. Nascimento was found unresponsive at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep, and despite the efforts of a responding medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The UFC broke the news in a statement posted to its social channels Monday evening, confirming Nascimento had been found unresponsive earlier that morning. “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan’s family, friends, teammates, and loved ones,” the organization said in the statement announcing his passing.
Career at a Glance
Nascimento, nicknamed “Puro Osso” for how lean he was as a teenager, built a 22-7 professional record over more than a decade of competing, with the bulk of those wins coming by submission on the strength of his black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He signed with the UFC in 2021 after a run through Brazil’s regional circuit and Dana White’s Contender Series, going 4-2 across six appearances inside the Octagon. His UFC debut was a split-decision loss to Tagir Ulanbekov at UFC 267, and he answered it with wins over Jake Hadley, Carlos Hernandez, Jafel Filho and Cody Durden before a split-decision loss to Mitch Raposo on June 20 closed out his career.
Nascimento trained out of the Chute Boxe Diego Lima academy in São Paulo, where he was a fixture on the mats alongside former UFC lightweight champion and current BMF titleholder Charles Oliveira.
Tributes Pour In
Oliveira broke his silence with a tribute posted to his Instagram Story, writing that he had lost “a brother that the fight game gave me” and thanking Nascimento for years spent sharing the mats and the corner together. UFC middleweight Caio Borralho remembered him as one of the kindest fighters he had ever met, and reactions continued to pour in from across the sport, including from Dustin Poirier, Mackenzie Dern, Henry Cejudo, Belal Muhammad and Jalin Turner. Fans flooded the UFC’s own announcement with messages of grief and support for Nascimento’s family and his Chute Boxe teammates.
