WBA Champ Panin Headlines Seven Bout DAZN Boxing Insider Tropicana Prospects Card

Atlantic, City, NJ (March 17th, 2025)– World Boxing Association Continental Welterweight champion Vlad ‘Super Bad’ Panin will headline a DAZN spectacular seven bout Boxing Insider Promotions card on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Tropicana Hotel & Casino Showroom in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

In the scheduled main event, Panin, 21-1 with 13 knockouts, Los Angeles California by way of Belarus, will face Brian Agustin Arregui, 10-5 with seven knockouts, Villaguay, Entre Lobos, Argentina. Panin is predicted to win by unanimous 10 round decision.

Arregui lost one eight-rounder and two ten-round decisions to fighters with nine or more wins in his last three bouts. In September 2024, Arregui lost a controversial ten-round split decision to Lorenzo Gerez, winning 96-94 on one of the 10-round scorecards, so Vlad Panin could be in for a real challenge and a long night, if the bout makes it into the seventh round. Panin could score a clean knockout within the first six rounds if he can outwork Arregui in the early rounds and gradually break him down. Arregui has had point deductions as early as round one and as late as round ten in his previous ten rounders, and it is conceivable Arregui could attempt some rough tactics.

In the preliminary bout to the main event, super welterweight contender Justin ‘Mr. Atlantic City’ Figueroa, 11-0 with nine knockouts, Atlantic City, New Jersey, is predicted to win by third or fourth round knockout over Mario Gaston Rios, 10-3-1 with seven knockouts, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Rios has been knocked out by unbeaten twices, though he did go the 10 round distance with 22-0 Gabriel Pereiro in 2016. Rios was inactive between June 2016 and December 2024 during the Pandemic, and was stopped in the first round in December 2024 by Alex Bray at Caribe Royal Orlando in his first comeback attempt.

Julio Sanchez III, Pleasantville, New Jersey, the son of former welterweight Julio Sanchez, will make his professional debut at super lightweight, and is predicted to win by four rounds unanimous decision over trial horse 0-3 Douglas Leon Diggs of Washington, D.C.

4-0 Atlantic City heavyweight prospect Bruce Seldon Jr., the son of former WBA World Heavyweight champion Bruce Seldon, is predicted to win by a round majority decision over 4-7-1 Gabriel Costa, a Brazilian fighting out of Woburn, Massachusetts. Both combatants are coming off four-round decision wins in November 2024. A second-round knockout or stoppage favors Seldon if it translates into an offensive slugfest while it lasts.

Brian Cohen super welterweight prospect Kahshad Elliott, 4-0 with four knockouts, Plainfield, New Jersey, is predicted to win by second-round knockout over 0-1 Lukes Ruiz of Florida.

Super welterweight prospect Damian Tinnerello, 4-0 with four knockouts, Berlin, New Jersey, is favored to win by third or fourth-round stoppage over experienced journeyman Kevin Womack Jr., 9-27-5 with seven knockouts, Baltimore, Maryland. Womack has gone the four and six-round distance five times post-Pandemic, and could go the four-round distance with Tinnerello if he turns the bout into a mostly holding contest.

In the scheduled opening bout, super middleweight prospect Cali Box, 4-0 with two knockouts, Franklin Township, New Jersey, is favored to win by hard fought four round unanimous decision over game Mexican Victor Pradis, 2-2-1, Covington, Louisiana, who has gone the distance in four and six rounders in four of his five pro bouts, winning his six round pro debut, and should make a good accounting of himself.
