Bethlehem, Pennsylvania (March 17th, 2025)– In the main event of DAZN televised Ring Wars 16 promoted by King’s Promotions at Wind Creek Events Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Friday night, March 14, 2024, former 2020 Olympian, world ranked middleweight Euri Cedeno, trained by former Muay Thai champion Danny ‘PaEncima’ Rivera, scored an impressive first round knockout of Ulices Tovar Rivera.
Cedeno, 11-0-1 with 10 knockouts, La Romana, Dominican Republic, began landed thunderous pinpoint power lefts to the head and pinpoint body shots to Rivera, 11-2 with seven knockouts, Guanajuato, Mexico. Cedeno seemed immediately content to throw caution to the wind and mix it with Cedeno and trade in nonstop power exchanges.
If this brief no defense affair was reminiscent of George Foreman versus Ron Lyle, Cedeno was scoring power shots pinpoint when a noticeable flaw appeared. Rivera, who appeared in condition, was holding a low left hand, leaving him susceptible to the overhand right with on protection. In the end, after getting dropped once and getting up, Rivera got clipped by a left uppercut. Cedeno missed with follow right hook, then connected with the straight left hand, sending Rivera backwards down and out at 2:44 on round one, where referee Harvey Dock waved the bout off.
During a post-fight dressing room interview, Cedeno, a Top Rank fighter currently ranked tenth in the world at middleweight by the World Boxing Association, stated he has his eyes set on possible future bouts with 14-0 WBO NABO champion Troy Isley at 160 pounds, and 21-0 NABF and WBO NABO champion Xander Zayas at 154 pounds.
The World Boxing Organisation International title is currently vacant at 154 and 160 pounds. One possible WBO step-up opponent for Cedeno could be former International Boxing Federation World Super Welterweight champion ‘King’ Carlos Molina, age 41, 40-15-2 with 13 knockouts, Naucalpan, Mexico. Molina is coming off an eight-round majority decision win over Johny Navarrete in December 2024 in Mexico. Winning the vacant WBO International title would enable Cedeno to crack the TOP 15 WBO ratings ladder in 2025, an absolute necessity for a chance at a higher level bout with Isley, Zayas, or a world title opportunity with Zhanibek Alimkhanbuly or Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford in 2026.
In the preliminary bout to the main event, Russell Peltz super lightweight prospect Bryce Mills, 18-1 with six knockouts, Liverpool, New York, won his twelfth consecutive bout by outpointing southpaw Chicago veteran Alex Martin, 17-7 with six knockouts. Real Combat Media scored the bout 77-75 five rounds to three for Mills, with Martin showboating and losing the key eighth round and being outworked by Mills over the last two rounds. Martin claimed he won the bout and said Mills would have to come to Chicago for a rematch. Mills clearly won the hard-fought bout by outworking Martin on the inside, which he had to do as the smaller man. Despite Martin’s post-bout in the ring antics and complaints, scoring appeared neutral and fair. Probably the best bout of the night. Scoring went 77-75, 78-74, 78-74 for Mills. The best bout of the night overall. Martin has now lost his last three consecutive bouts, and at 35, this was probably his last hurrah. Still, the bout could be worthy of a rematch.
In an eight-round female bout, rising female bantamweight prospect Shera Mae Patricio, age 22, now 5-0 with two knockouts, Waianae, Hawaii, scored a hard-fought six-round decision over journeyman trial horse Nancy ‘Chatita’ Franco, 19-23-2 with five knockouts, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Franco, who won the IBF Female World Minimumweight title in December 2013 by outpointing Kayoko Ebata in Japan, and who lost her IBF title in 2014 in her first defense, is now winless in her last ten bouts, and in the view of this reporter should be probably be retired by USA Boxing despite her game effort. Two-minute rounds, the bout wisely reduced from an originally scheduled eight-rounder.

Ibrahim Robinson won by a four-round decision over Rommell Toran in a welterweight contest. Scores of 40-36, 40-36, 40-36 for Robinson, 8-1-1 with five knockouts, who hails from Baltimore, Maryland. This was the opening bout on the card and was not televised.
Female featherweight Brittany Cruz won by first-round stoppage in 42 seconds over Wendellin Cruz. After getting pushed to the canvas after receiving punches, Cruz did not want to continue, so referee Eric Dali stopped the contest. Cruz is now 8-3 with five knockouts and hales from Salem, Oregon. This was the second bout on the card and was not televised.
In a rematch of MMA fighters turned to boxing, Bethlehem Pennsylvania local heavyweight Mike Liberto, 2-0 with two knockouts, scored a first round stoppage at 1:23 of Adam Atiyeh, 2-1, also of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, by knocking him down twice.
Super featherweight contender Julian ‘Gifted’ Gonzalez, 15-0-1 with 11 knockouts, Reading, Pennsylvania, scored a stoppage win at 2:44 of the first round over overmatched Armando Frausto, 10-5-1 with five knockouts, from La Marque, Texas.
Super lightweight prospect Joseph ‘Blessed Hands’ Adorno, 21-4-2 with 17 knockouts, Allentown, Pennsylvania, dropped Wesley Rivers, 8-6 with three knockouts, Dearborn Heights, Michigan, in the second round, and stopped him at 2:02 of the third round. Rivers looked bigger, taller and stronger, but remained cautious against the more experienced Adorno. When Adorno did get inside and open up, Rivers had no plan to counter Adorno’s power and accurate punching to head and body, and folded soon thereafter.
Former International Boxing Federation World Super Lightweight champion Paulie Malignaggi joined Marc Abrams for the DAZN commentary at ringside. Promoters Russell Peltz, Marshall Kauffman and heavyweight Travis Kauffman were in attendance at ringside.
