AFC middleweight champion Steve “Steamroller” Kennedy concedes there is “bad blood” between he and Daniel Kelly as the pair await the highly-anticipated grudge match.

Both Kennedy and Kelly added spice to the long overdue title showdown scheduled for AFC 10 on August 16, trading barbs following their respective victories at AFC 9 in Albury.

Kennedy has frequently dropped grenades in the Kelly camp, causing the latter to call the Western Australian a “d—head”, emphasizing that there was no loved lost.

“That’s no secret,” Kelly said after his win over Ben Kelleher in the Barney on the Border.

“He’s not a classy guy. I don’t want to talk about it much because he’s a d—head and that’s all there is to it.

“He’s bagged me from before I met him to when I was going to fight him and he’s a said stupid, rude things and I don’t want to talk about him.”

After launching a post-fight tirade following his decision win against Daniel “Grasshopper” Way, Kennedy admitted he had no time for Kelly.

“There’s legitimate bad blood there. He’s got bad blood because I’m such a s— talker and he’s respectful and for him it’s just not the martial arts way,” Kennedy said.

On a big card with a huge Middleweight Title Fight Stefan Rosa isn’t hiding the fact that he has a few nerves:

“Yeah mate I’m definitely nervous. I always get nervous before a fight. To be honest I still can’t believe I’ve been given this opportunity”

Stefan is a very well rounded fighter and feels he will be comfortable wherever the fight goes:

“I guess I’m one of these modern day kids who started training everything all at once so I didn’t really come from a particular martial art. I love standing and I love the ground stuff and I love clinch work . I’m happy to take the fight wherever it goes so long as it’s on my terms”

On August 16 Stefan will face a very capable wrestler in Nikos Trepca but he isn’t worried about a potential wrestling battle: “Yeah I’m totally comfortable against a wrestler I started my wrestling training with Billy and Ali Abdo who are both commonwealth wrestlers and I now train under Denis Kelly who also has a strong wrestling pedigree”

AFC 10 can’t come fast enough for Stefan and he is hoping to put on a real show for the AFC fans: “I hope just a good old fashioned war. In my fights so far I’ve dominated but not been able to finish. It’s very frustrating and something I’m working on. I just want the crowd to love my fights. I don’t wanna win a boring fight. I wanna win wars and win in devastating fashion. I guess that’s a bit of a cliche and every fighter obviously wants to win a blood soaked war in horrifying fashion. I just gotta be careful I don’t end up on my back for 15 minutes which will negate a lot of my striking game. Either way I think it’s gonna be a great fight. A good stylistic matchup and a great challenge. And if the fight does end up on the ground I’m excited to show what I’m capable of.”

Luke Falzon comes from a Karate background and has an impressive artillery of unique striking that he’ll be looking to employ come August 16. In the midst of a thorough training camp Luke is excited to make his debut in Australia’s number 1 MMA promotion: “I’m feeling very nervous about the fight but i just have to trust my preparation, and give it my best on the night”

Although Luke will be making his debut at AFC 10; his experience in combat sports is impressive: “Walked into my first kickboxing class when I was 15 yrs old. Since then have trained a number of styles of martial arts but I have focused on karate. I have trained and graded in Okinawa, and also in Singapore and Malaysia. I have competed across a number of tournaments over the past few years around Australia. Currently I haven’t competed for 2 years since moving to Yarrawonga Victoria, the birth of m

Cage Fury Fighting Championships returns to GFL.tv with championship level MMA with “CFFC 39” from the Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Pro MMA fighters from around the East Coast will descend on this card that features several of the top ranked and up and coming athletes in the region. CFFC has expanded its stranglehold on Northeast MMA as they continue to pump out one blockbuster show after another.

In the main event, Scott “The Animal” Heckman (17-5) meets Troy Gerhart (6-2). Heckman is a former CFFC Featherweight Champion and looks to get back in the title mix with a dominant win here. Heckman is an expert grappler with a strong wrestling base, but also likes to throw hands and is dangerous from anywhere in the cage. He is one of the top 145 lb fighters in the world and will continue to come forward no matter what. Heckman is as exciting as they come, and that is why he continues to be a fan favorite wherever he fights. This will be the biggest fight in the career of Gerhart who is a veteran of Bellator. Gerhart is a grinder and has great wrestling skills, but he also possesses KO power in both hands that could end the fight in the blink of an eye. Gerhart took a 3-year hiatus from MMA and came back in 2013 to win via first round TKO. If Gerhart can duplicate his last performance he will jump to the head of the line for a title shot. Both men are hungry with something to prove.

Bellator veteran Brett Martinez (6-1) takes on Nate Vantassell (2-2) in a lightweight showdown. Martinez has only gone to decision once in his career and is always looking to stand in the cage and bring the action to his opponent. Martinez never backs up and is always looking to finish as 5 of his wins have come via stoppage.

Vantassell is on a 2-fight win streak, both first round stoppages and comes into the cage looking to take out the favored Martinez. Vantassell fights with a high risk-high reward style and is always in the running for fight of the night. Expect fireworks from these two.

Be there to witness who climbs up the ladder and who is hurled off it as “CFFC 39” throws down the gauntlet on GFL.tv once again!

Mississippi’s #1 MMA promotion debuts on GFL on August 16 as AFC presents “Atlas Fighting Championship 21” emanating from the Golden Nugget Casino & Hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi. MMA fans, this event is scheduled for 12 bouts on a stacked card featuring the top up and combing prospects from the Gulf Coast. AFC is the premier MMA organization in the Magnolia State and is looking to increase its viewership worldwide now with a broadcasting partnership with GFL.

In the main event, in the welterweight division, Cody Senseny (6-1) fights William Kuhn (11-10). Senseny is a fast starter and has never been out of the second round. He brings KO power into the cage but his real game in on the ground where he has won 4 times via submission. Kuhn is on a 2-fight win streak and has the experience advantage. Kuhn has honed his skills by fighting anyone and everyone in the South and looks to anchor a huge event for AFC. Kuhn has great cardio and can go hard for three rounds. Look for Kuhn to try and push the pace against Senseny and take him into deep waters.

In the co-main event, Sedric Johnson (1-1) battles JD Domengeaux (1-2) in another fight in the welterweight division. Johnson comes from Florida and is looking to make his mark in Mississippi. Johnson is a tough grappler who lost a controversial split decision and is looking to rectify that with a decisive win here. Expect Johnson to go for broke and not leave it in the hands of the judges. The Louisiana native Domengeaux is looking to event his record. Domengeaux has previously fought at middleweight so he should bring a size and strength advantage into the cage. Domengeaux fights with a high risk-high reward style and should make for an interesting matchup with Johnson.

In the lightweight division, Josh Davila (3-1) takes on DeMarques Jackson (2-0). Davila is a strong wrestler who can land the takedown at a high rate. His ground and pound and control from the top is solid and allows him to dictate the action in most of his fights. Jackson comes into the fight undefeated after winning his fights decisively. Jackson is one of the top prospects in Georgia and looks to remain unbeaten in this fight. To do that, he will need to showcase his huge heart and all-around style as he is gifted on the mat and in the standup.

You won’t find more BANG for your buck so order this thrilling event. Be sure to catch all of the action LIVE on August 16 as AFC presents “Atlas Fighting Championship 21” on pay-per-view exclusively at GFL.tv.For full fight card and more details about this event, visit gfl.tv or click here

World Series Of Fighting (WSOF) returns to GFL.tv on August 16 with “World Series of Fighting – Central America”. The event will feature a stacked card featuring many of Central America’s top MMA fighters. Every fighter will step into the cage ready to battle in front of their home crowd and those watching around the world live.

In the main event, Oscar Rivera takes on Jose Rivera. Oscar is known for being a well-rounded fighter that has solid striking, matched with wrestling and grappling. Oscar has powerful takedowns and can mix up his attacks so that his opponent is always guessing where the next offense from Oscar is going to come from. Look for Oscar to employ a lot of feints, both in striking and wrestling to try and put Jose on his heels. Jose has the ability to use his wrestling to grind away at his opponents over the course of a full fight, leaving them gassed out at the end of the fight. This is where Jose is at his best. He continues to get stronger as the fight goes on and his aggressiveness becomes only that much more dangerous. Look for Jose to match the intensity of Oscar in the early going. This fight will be a contest in grit.

In the co-main event, Rene Martinez takes on Sergio Ortiz. Martinez is most famous for submitting boxing great Ricardo Mayorda. Martinez is an expert grappler who will look to get the fight to the ground. Ortiz is more of a banger and loves to stand and trade punches. He has an iron chin and if this fight becomes a slugfest it will play into the hands of Ortiz. Styles make fights and this fight will be dictated by where the fight goes. Look for both men to exert their will in the clinch. Whoever wins the clinch will be at a decided advantage.

WSOF continues to make an impact on the MMA landscape. Check out latest foray into a new market with “World Series of Fighting – Central America” as the event will no doubt play to a packed house and stream live only on GFL.tv.
