Washington, DC (June 15th, 2026)– Justin Gaethje shocked everyone at UFC Freedom 250 by beating 6-to-1 favorite Ilia Topuria with a fourth-round TKO (corner stoppage). The fight, held on the White House South Lawn, saw Gaethje win the undisputed lightweight title after four intense rounds of action.
Gaethje used his reach early, keeping Topuria back with quick jabs and uppercuts. Topuria pushed forward with strong combos and hard leg kicks, but Gaethje’s counters cut Topuria near the eye and bloodied his face.
In round 2, the champion completely turned the tide by aggressively targeting Gaethje’s body with vicious left hooks. A devastating liver shot crumbled Gaethje to the canvas. Topuria immediately took dominant top control, hunting for submissions, including deep armbar and mounted triangle attempts; however, Gaethje managed to survive the onslaught.
