Manila, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao’s fight date has been moved from November to December 1st at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pacquiao’s advisor, Mike Koncz released this statement. “We’ve informed Top Rank that we cannot go on Nov. 10,”
“So [Top Rank CEO] Bob Arum has moved the date now to Dec. 1, and he’s done that at our request due to conflicting schedules with the boxing and Manny’s personal affairs,” Koncz said.
Pacquiao has yet to choose from among the three names that Arum gave him. They are Juan Manuel Marquez, Miguel Cotto and a rematch against Tim Bradley.
Rumors are also out there that Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have people working negotiations at the moment. Most likely a super fight is possible for April or May of 2013. But there is a very small chance that it could happen in December. But Pacquiao has definiely expressed interest in fighting Mayweather.
I personally feel the Bradley or Mayweather fight would make the most sense at this point in Manny’s career. Marquez and Cotto are both high risk and low reward fights.
