No More Doping! Tank Davis praises the Death of Balco Mastermind Victor Conte on Instagram

Baltimore, MD (November 5th, 2025)– The controversial World Boxing Association Lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, his exhibition match and 40 million dollars payday with Jake Paul, now forever cancelled, remains the troublesome loudmouth on social media outlets.

Davis, 30-0-1 with 28 knockouts, Baltimore, Maryland, labeled as a walking piece of human garbage and directly accused of unprofessionalism by social media icon and boxer Jake Paul, seems consistent in his behavior, verbal rants, and reputation, in the same mold as faded welterweight Adrien Broner.

Davis, in his new Instagram post, has taken a tasteful potshot at the late Victor Conte, the founder of the nutritional supplements company Scientific Nutrition for Advanced Conditioning (SNAC). Before founding SNAC, Conte was linked to the San Francisco Laboratory Co-operative (BALCO) scandal of the early 2000s, one of the largest doping PEDs (performance-enhancing drugs) controversies in modern athletic history. In later years, Conte worked to turn his image around.

Davis is unforgiving, and some might agree with his loud social media statement. “(It is a) Good day for boxing!” stated Davis of his joyful celebration of the passing of Victor Conte. Indeed, there are still many people in professional sports who side with Tank, who were not fond of the nutritional and health damage done by Victor Conte to enhance athletic performance in the BALCO days. Conte has been clean for years. Some do not his turnaround as an excuse for what he did.

“No more snack for you bastards!” also noted Davis. This refers to SNAC, Conte’s new organization, and implies that beneath Conte’s current façade, Conte was still up to his old tricks, and with his passing, anabolic steroid junkies will lose their fix. Davis, like some others, clearly did not trust Conte or his SNAC organization, and refused to allow him to lift his label as a notorious cheat now ‘reformed’.

The Tank Davis statement is false, as Conte served time for his role in the BALCO scandal and has been clean for many years. Conte, a rebranded nutritional and PEDs testing expert, provided his inside knowledge of doping, to both the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to improve testing procedures for athletes in all amateur and professional sports.

In Courtney Rossel versus Gervonta Bryant Davis, Docket 2025-021434-CA-01, filed in the Florida Circuit Civil Court, Miami-Dade County, Florida, filed on October 30, 2025, Davis was served with a civil lawsuit filed by his former girlfriend, Courtney Rossel. Tank’s latest girlfriend turned ex-girlfriend claims multiple instances of violence, battery and kidnapping. The lawsuit refers to an incident on October 27, 2025, during which Davis allegedly assaulted Rossel while she was working in the Miami Tootsie’s Gentlemen’s Strip Club as a VIP server. The civil complaint alleges Davis choked her, threatened to kill her, and assaulted her both in private and in public settings. Roussel’s complaint seeks monetary damages. Roussel’s case is noteworthy in that she has not filed a criminal complaint. Some have argued Tank’s matter is a civil matter, not a crime, and should not be treated as such.

Tank may be innocent, but he has, in effect, already been convicted by Jake Paul, MVP Promotions, and the media. In making nasty remarks on social media, Tank Davis is only fanning the flames and antagonizing sports fans everywhere—Tank’s getting reviews, not all favorable.
