Kiev, Ukraine (March 8th, 2022)– In a brand new development in the Russian Federation versus Ukraine War, the Russian ambassador to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, stated the Russian Federation will carry out a temporary ceasefire at 10 A.M. in Ukraine on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, Moscow time, and open humanitarian corridors to evacuate citizens from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy and Mariupol. Nebenzia took the floor at the end of a United Nations Security Council meeting in Manhattan on the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine Monday to make the announcement.

“This proposal doesn’t have any demands about the citizens being sent necessarily to Russia, into Russian territory. There’s also (an) evacuation (option being) offered towards Ukrainian cities to the west of Kyiv, and ultimately it will be the choice of the people themselves (as to) where they want to be evacuated to,” noted Nebenzia.

Meanwhile, on the twelfth day of the Russian Federation invasion of Ukraine, in a Monday, March 7, 2022 video posted on his Instagram account, former World Heavyweight champion and Kiev mayor promised he and the people of his city were prepared to defend it to the death. “I can tell you that no one (here now) will leave Kiev. Every house, every street, every checkpoint will resist until death if necessary. Nobody wants to die. Nobody wants to perish. But, if (it is) necessary, we will first defend our children and our families. Even if our homes are destroyed, and our future is painted red, and they want to seize us (as prisoners), it won’t happen, I’m sure. I thank every patriot who today is ready to defend his home and our future.”

At the time of this writing, present and former world boxing champions Vitali Klitschko and brother Wladimir Klitschko, Oleksandr Usyk, and Vasyl Lomachenko remain in arms fighting on the front lines of the battlefield. Ukraine says its forces have killed more than 11,000 Russian troops. Russia has confirmed about 500 losses.
