Russian President Vladimir Putin has signaled positive shifts in peace talk negotiations, as Russian Federation negotiators hold ongoing ceasefire and peace discussions with Ukrainian delegates in neighboring Belarus.

The Russian President’s statement comes during the fourth round of ceasefire talks, as Russian forces step up attacks on Ukrainian cities on Day 16, Friday, March 11, 2022, of the military conflict. The city of Dnipro, home to over one million people, has come under attack, as well as the cities of Lutsk and Ivano-Frankivsk. Ukrainian forces recaptured five settlements in the Chernihiv region of North Ukraine. Operation “Command North” reported Ukrainian fighters also seized Russian armored personnel carriers.

According to Pravda news reports, the former Chief of Police and Security Services in Kiev to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, Dmitry Demyanenko, was shot dead in his Toyota car at a roadblock by Kiev police during an internal conflict checkpoint gunfight in the Darnitskiy district of southeastern Kiev. Demyanenko, whose vehicle with armed guards, attempted to ram through and shoot through the checkpoint, was the former deputy head of the SBU Security Main Directorate in Kiev and Kiev Oblast. Suspected of espionage, he previously served as a personal security advisor to current Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the former world heavyweight boxing champion.
