ANDERSON SILVA VS. TITO ORTIZ IN BOXING IS OFFICIAL & BETTING ODDS

Los Angeles, CA (August 12th, 2021)– Following a stunning performance to beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. earlier this year, Anderson Silva has established himself as a legitimate boxer and opened as a huge favorite against Tito Ortiz.

The pair of former UFC champions will square off as part of the upcoming Triller Fight Club card on Sept. 11 with Oscar De La Hoya and Vitor Belfort serving as the main event for the show taking place at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Based on those opening odds, a $500 bet would be required to make $100 back on Silva if he is victorious in the fight. Meanwhile that same $100 bet would earn $350 in return if Ortiz were to pull off the upset.

Of course, Silva has a lot of advantages heading into this matchup including his long history as one of the top strikers in the history of mixed martial arts not to mention his previous experience in the boxing ring.

At 46, Silva put on a outstanding performance to beat Chavez Jr. in Mexico as he competed in a boxing match for the first time in nearly 16 years.

As for Ortiz, he’s got a long list of accomplishments when it comes to his mixed martial arts career where he’s already been inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame as a former light heavyweight champion. Ortiz actually finished his MMA career strong with wins over Chael Sonnen, Chuck Liddell and professional wrestling star Alberto El Patron, but this will also be his first pro boxing match.

The odds are subject to change based on bets placed on the fight and it’s likely Silva’s status as the favorite will only increase as the days lead closer to the event on Sept. 11.
