Friday May 14, 2021, was an active one, starting a weekend of active fighters and fighters around the world. Here are the major Friday fight results. Starting in Argentina, 13-3-2 Reuquen Facundo Arce of Buenos Aires won the vacant World Boxing Association Fedebol Lightweight title by 10 round split decision over 5-5-2 Nicolas Emiliano Paz.

In Szeligi, Poland, in a main event International Boxing Federation World Cruiserweight title elimination bout, Michal Cieslak, 21-1 with 15 knockouts, Radom, Poland, stopped Russian Federation’s Yuri Kashinsky, 20-2 with 218 knockouts, Novosibirsk, Russian Federation, at 1:53 of the first round. Kashinsky, in enemy territory, got stopped for the first time in his career. Cieslak set himself up for a rematch with World Boxing Association World Cruiserweight champion Llunga Junior Makabu, who decisioned Cieslak over 12 rounds for the vacant WBA cruiserweight title in January 2020. In the preliminary bout to the main event, 6-0 rising Polish super middleweight Lukasz Stanioch won the vacant World Boxing council Francophone Super Middleweight title with a 10 round decision over fellow Pole 24-14-3 Robert Telarek. Cieslak should ascend to the top of the IBF rankings.

In Murfreesburg, Tennessee, 8-2 Jessica “The Cobra” Camara of Montreal, Canada, came off the canvas in round one to decision 22-2 Heather Hardy former featherweight world title challenger Heather Hardy, age 39. Hardy, nearly two years inactive, fighting 10 pounds above her normal fight weight, frequently had her hands down with a shoddy defense. Hardy, able to take a punch, left herself open to getting hit in numerous exchanges and got outworked. Old, inactive, and slow at higher weight, Hardy clearly lost. Camara up for a rematch with Melissa St. Vil, whom she lost a 10 round decision to a year ago. The 14-4-4 Haitian lightweight St. Vil won an eight round decision over aging 18-19-2 Olivia Gerula, age 42, of Winnipeg, Canada, on the same card. Gerula, who has not won a bout or a scorecard in five years, like Hardy should retire based on age and recent results.

11-0 Tennessee super lightweight Tyler “Short Fuse” Tomlin scored an RTD third round referee’s technical decision win over unlucky Tyrone “Hands of Stone” Luckey, 13-14-4, Galloway, New Jersey, who gave up in his corner. Luckey who had won four of five bouts coming in, has lost to ten unbeaten fighters in his hard luck career, and also lost a split decision early in his career to future world champion Tevin Farmer. His unlucky road has been written about in Real Combat Media. Pandemic or not, it is probably the end of the road for Luckey’s career. Luckey upset 9-2 Jerome Conquest in the first round in 2018.
