While Doordash has taken over as the method choice for food delivery during the Coronavirus Pandemic, professional boxers training in isolation remains on ice in terms of social interaction. Drinking water as a part of an organized and disciplined regularly followed top-flight nutritional plan should remain an emotional focus for boxers, trainers, managers, promoters, referees, and other officials, both amateur and professional.
First Element: Vitamins, Powders, Nutritional supplements and Shakes
A good multivitamin, as well as individual vitamins by category, nutritional milkshakes with supplement powders, are all good support for the nutritionally focused athlete.
Second Element: Good Carbohydrates
Fruits and vegetables, whole grain bread, oats, healthy rice, beans, lentils, honey and sweet potatoes are all beneficial, preferably organic.
Third Element: Good Protein for Good Muscle Development
Lean beef and chicken, shrimp, healthy fish, no cholesterol eggs, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, almond butter, and beans are all health foods. Protein supplements valuable to the developing and high caliber boxer include whey protein and cassin. More recently, boxers such as Chris Byrd and Mike Tyson have supplemented their diets with healthy hemp.
Fourth Element: Healthy Fats
Seafoods (besides fish), organic avocado, almonds, walnuts, olives, flax seed, fish oil and fish oil omega supplements, macadamia oil, coconut oil, and canola oil are all good.
Fifth Element: A Gallon of Water A Day-for energy levels, weight loss and performance.
