Good Night Senor! One Shot Baby! Alvarez Kayos Seals With Monster Right Hand

By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent

Verona, NY (January 19th, 2020)– Former World Boxing Organization World Light Heavyweight champion Eleider Alvarez, inactive for eleven months, knocked out Michael Seals with a monster right hook over the Seals lazy left hand in the seventh round of the main event at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York, on Saturday, January 18, 2020, to win the vacant World Boxing Council Continental Americas and vacant World Boxing Organization Inter-Continental Light Heavyweight title, and win another shot at the WBO title. Alvarez landed the same right hand he used to knock out Sergei Kovalev. Alvarez’ right hand simply got there first, much like Sergio Gabriel Martinez got there first in his rematch with Paul Williams. Alvarez was faster and more accurate, and this bout ended ka-boom! The count reached eight with Seals on the canvas, before referee Danny Schiavone waved it off as a knockout at a precise three minutes of the seventh round. No way Seals or any other fighter could recover from a Rocky Marciano pinpoint power shot to the chin could like that. Good night senor! Alvarez made his statement. He will fight anyone, anywhere, anyplace, anytime. Message understood by all the other current world light heavyweight champions. Alvarez will fight them, and put it all on the table.

Result: Eleider Alvarez KO 7 Michael Seals, Light Heavyweights (3:00)

Alvarez wins vacant World Boxing Association Continental Americas title and vacant World Boxing Organization Inter-Continental Light Heavyweight title.

Referee: Danny Schiavone
