Kermit Cintron Featured on Sands Bethlehem Card This Weekend

By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent

Bethlehem PA (December 7th, 2016)– The comeback of former International Boxing Federation World Welterweight champion Kermit Cintron continues. Cintron, 38-5-2 with 29 knockouts, Reading, Pennsylvania, looks to make it 30 knockouts in a scheduled eight rounder against durable Rosemberg Gomez, 19-5-1 with 15 knockouts, Managua, Nicaragua. Cintron is one of eight featured bouts on a card this weekend at Sands Bethlehem Events Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, promoted by Sampson Boxing, Victory Boxing Promotions, King’s Promotions and GHS Promotions.

Cintron will have his work cut out for him, and is predicted to win by seventh or eighth round stoppage in what could turn out to be a hard fought memorable war. Gomez knocked out his last two opponents in March and June of this year in Columbia and Honduras, has fought in Panama in Nicaragua, and went eight round with Alex Martin at the Sands in February, and is a fight anyone anywhere sort of guy. The matchup should prove to be interested.

In the 10 round main event, David Emmanuel Peralta 26-2-1 with 14 knockouts, Cordoba, Argentina, is favored to win by fourth round TKO over 13-1 Berlin Abreu of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Peralta is coming off a 12 round split decision win over Roberto Guerrero this past August, and has too much experience for the limited Abreu.

Ronald Ellis, 12-0-1 with 10 knockouts, Lynn, Massachusetts, is favored to win by a knockout somewhere between rounds three and five over 10-6-1 Mexican Oscar Riojas. The bout is a tune up for Ellis, who will fight Philly fighter Christopher Brooker at Bally’s Atlantic City next month.

Other Predictions

Erik Spring Win 6 Grayson Blake, Welterweights

Abrahan Nova Win 6 Joshua Santos, Super Featherweights
