Philadelphia, PA (December 7th, 2016)– 2300 Arena has been the successor site to the famed Blue Horizon in Philadelphia. Fighters like Tevin Farmer and the late Ed Brown recorded their most recent wins at 2300 Arena. While 2300 may seem small, television fights have taken place there, and packed crowd keep coming back. 2300 Arena in Philadelphia is a known place where many aspiring boxers have their professional chance. Promoters like Russell Peltz, Lou DiBella and Brittany Rogers have given many Philly area fighters opportunities, with 2300 Arena being one of their established venues for finding and testing prospects and potential talent.

Southpaw super featherweight Tevin Farmer, the current North American Boxing Federation Super Featherweight champion, is one victory away from a world title shot. Farmer, 26 is currently ranked # 17 in the world by the IBO. While the other organizations may not have picked up on his 17 consecutive wins, Farmer may soon get a world title shot.

Farmer may face Vasyl Lomachenko, Jason Sosa, Jazreel Corrales, Francisco Vargas, Malcolm Klassen,  Jose Pedraza (a rematch), or any of the other world champions. To get there, Farmer might have to fight and defeat the likes of Miguel Roman, Orlando Salido, Takashi Uchiyama, Takashi Miura, Billy Dib, Nicholas Walters or one of the other fringe contender gatekeepers. One thing is for sure. Farmer’s next opponent will have to be class above the ‘B’ level opposition he has been fighting.

Don’t be surprised if an ’A’ fighter gets the call and accepts a bout with Farmer for a regional belt of some kind. Farmer is hard working and totally focused on his championship mission. To get there, a major name opponent will have to be next. Farmer versus the big name is a bout worthy of a television bout. 2017 will be Farmer’s arrival year on the road to a world championship. Farmer is a brilliant fighter at 130 pounds. He should stay with this division where he can win many world title bouts and dominate. His size and technique are perfect for wiping out the super featherweight division. Farmer will need the big win to boost his confidence and earn himself a world title shot. He can do it.
