Premier Boxing Champions Sands Bethlehem Cherry vs. Rhodes 10 Bout Preview

Bethlehem, PA (June 28th, 2016)– Premier Boxing Champions and King’s Promotions will present an exciting eight bout card of pro boxing at Sands Bethlehem Events Center on Tuesday evening, June 28, 2016, featuring lightweights Edner ‘Cherry Bomb’ Cherry and Haskell Rhodes in the 10 round main event.

Cherry, 34-7-2 with 19 knockouts, Wauchola, Florida, is coming off a 12 round split decision loss in an IBF World Super Featherweight title bout to Jose Pedraza last October. Cherry is favored to win by a close unanimous 10 round decision over Rhodes, as Cherry had an 11 bout unbeaten string going into the world championship bout. Rhodes, 23-1-1 with 11 knockouts, Las Vegas, Nevada, is coming off a 10 round decision loss to Sergey Lipinets last October, and an eight round draw with Jared Robinson last June.

Super featherweight Omar ‘Super O’ Douglas, 16-0 with 11 knockouts, Wilmington, Delaware, is favored to win by a close unanimous ten round decision over Cuban super featherweight Alexei Collado, 19-1 with 17 knockouts, Miami, Florida. Local Bethlehem heavyweight Eric Newell is also featured on the card in a four rounder against Randy Easton of Sunbury, Pennsylvania, and is predicted to win by third round knockout.
