ANTONIO TARVER CLAIMS HE WAS FRAMED BY THE BOXING PROMOTER FOR HIS FAILED DRUG TEST
Newark, NJ (February 12th, 2016)– Antonio Tarver, 47, claims he was drug free when he failed a post fight drug test after his fight with Steve Cunningham last year in Newark, NJ at The Prudential Center. The fight ended in a draw. He is claiming that Dibella Promotions may have framed him since they hired the drug testing agency to test their fighters.
The former light heavyweight world champion appeared at the hearing yesterday with his attorneys. The commission ruled against Tarver and fined 50, 000 dollars. Antonio is free to apply for a license next week, as long as he pays the $50,000 fine levied against him.
