PRESS RELEASE

Introducing “Fighter’s Health” from Britton Chiropractic

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Muay Thai, Kickboxing and other combat sports are growing in popularity and becoming much more mainstream. Events such as the UFC, Bellator, Lion Fights, World Series of Fighting and WCK are just a few of the major promotions that are regularly broadcasting events that are being seen in tens of millions of households. With the support of broadcasters such as Fox, Viacom, NBC, AXS TV and others, these combat sports have moved from the fringe and are producing athletes who are becoming household names such as Ronda Rousey, George St. Pierre and Anderson Silva.

Participation in these sports is also becoming more widespread and there are far more athletes that are dedicating themselves seriously to the pursuit of careers in these combat sports. This requires true dedication, discipline and intense hard work. To be successful in the combat sports it also requires support for the athletes, almost all of whom will begin the journey paying for all of their training, equipment, nutritional requirements, license fees, while still working at regular jobs to support themselves. When an injury occurs during training or competition, it not only jeopardizes the progress of the athlete trying to build their career, but it can cost them lost days of work and affect their livelihoods. It is for this reason that Britton Chiropractic has decided to launch a new program called “Fighters Health” specifically geared to support the health care needs of these athletes.

Dr. Anthony Britton is a doctor of chiropractic as well as a former professional MMA fighter, World Champion Martial Artist and current trainer of MMA fighters. “ I am very fortunate to not have too many lingering injuries from my fighting days. During my career I was fortunate to receive regular Chiropractic adjustments to help maintain my level of performance and speed my recovery,” states Dr. Britton, “However, I know a lot of guys, less fortunate, who have degeneration in their necks or low back and you hear stories of people like Nate Quarry, Shane Carwin and Tito Ortiz who are just a wreck when they retire. So it really means a lot to me to be able to dedicate a block of my office hours to give back to these athletes and this sport at a very very low cost.”

The “Fighter’s Health” program at Britton Chiropractic in Arcadia, California will be working with fighter’s, coaches and managers to offer professional consultations for free as well as special rates for chiropractic adjustments.
