TV4 Entertainment and BH Media Group Join Forces to Create the Undisputed Champion Network (“UCN”)
First Ever Broadband Television Network Super-Serving Fight Fans Across the Globe Today, TV4 Entertainment announced the formation of the Undisputed Champion Network (“UCN”), a broadband television channel dedicated to the combat sports. UCN joins a growing portfolio of online video networks operated by TV4 Entertainment, including DocComTV (documentaries), the All Warrior Network (military), and several upcoming channels with Cinebx.
UCN is a partnership between TV4 Entertainment and television and film production company BH Media Group. Founded by veteran film and television producers Art Horan and Damon Bingham, BH Media Group produces television and film content with a particular focus on the combat sports, most notably boxing. “The Undisputed Champion conjures images of Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, Patterson, Ali, Hagler, and Tyson,” said Jon Cody, Founder and CEO of TV4 Entertainment. “Few production companies have the breath of access to, and depth of experience in, the fight community than BH Media Group,” said Cody, “and we are thrilled to partner with Art and Damon to bring the UCN to fight fans on every screen, anywhere in the world.”
Horan served as Executive Producer on the Academy Award winning film “The Usual Suspects” and a recent documentary for ESPN on women in boxing directed by Academy Award nominee Amy Berg. Bingham produced the award-winning feature documentary “Tyson” and “One Night in Vegas” an ESPN original 30-for-30 documentary on the inextricably intertwined lives of Mike Tyson and Tupac Shakur. “We are inspired byTV4 Entertainment’s vision to build next generation video networks in genres that target intensely passionatecommunities, with worldwide potential, that are poorly served by traditional television,” said Horan and Bingham. “The fight fan fits squarely within this mandate, and we look forward to feeding your passion for combat sports, through the Undisputed Champion Network.”
UCN will aggregate and curate the best fight content from around the world and will offer viewers a mix of the library and original content, long-form and short form films, TV, and web-series. Content will range from historical documentaries, behind the scenes profiles of modern day kings of the ring, and news and live events.
