Gabriel Bracero To Face Dmitriy Salita at Brooklyn Aviator Arena in November

Brooklyn, NY (October 2, 2013)– After 18 months of talk and rumors, the fight the public wants will finally happen. Brooklyn welterweights Gabriel Tito Bracero (22-1, four knockouts), and Dmitriy Salita (34-1-1, 18 knockouts) will fight in the main event at Aviator Arena, in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday evening, November 9, 2013. The card will be promoted by DiBella Entertainment and Star of David Promotions. Gabriel Tito Bracero is trained by Tommy Gallagher. Dmitriy Star of David Salita, trained by Jovan ‘Sugar’ Hill, who is the nephew of Emanuel Steward and is also the trainer of WBC World Light Heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson.
For the past 18 months, Real Combat Media has run interviews and stories with both fighters about the proposed matchup, and also interviews with Lou DiBella, who remained interested in the public interest for the match and finally helped to make it a reality. Bracero remains a fine technical boxer, but he has cut against harder hitters. Salita is a fine counter boxing fighter at 147 to 154 pounds. The question remains at what weight Bracero and Salita will fight. In their last interview with Real Combat Media, the fighters appeared willing to compromise at a catch weight, which will probably be somewhere between 146 and 148 pounds. No belt appears to be on the table, and the undercard has not been assembled yet.
