UFC Fight Night 27- Condit vs. Kampman Video Preview

By Antonio Santiago, Real Combat Media MMA Correspondent

Indianapolis, IL(August 27th, 2013)– UFC hits Indianapolis this week for UFC Fight Night Live from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 8 p.m. On Fox Sports 1.

“The Hit Man” Martin Kampmann (20-6; 6′ 170) goes head to head with “The Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit (28-7; 6’2″ 170) in a long awaited rematch. These  warriors first met at UFC Fight Night in 2009 with Kampmann taking home the win via split decision. “The Hit Man.” a Denmark native is training out of Randy Couture’s Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, NV, with notable wins over Thiago Alves, Jake Ellenberger and Paulo Thiago.

Condit, training at Jackson’s MMA in Albuquerque New Mexico is hungry and seeking revenge. Another win would put this seasoned warrior one step closer to  a UFC Welterweight title rematch against George St Pierre.

Joe Silva has done it again! This fight has all the makings of a “Fight Of The Night” both fighters very evenly matched and both coming off of losses in their last fights to Johnny Hendricks

Both men holding brown belts in BJJ with similar styles of striking disciplines. Condit may have the advantage in the striking department, with a 5″ reach advantage and an array of Boxing, Kick Boxing and Muay Thai in his arsenal.

Kampmann looks much better on paper,he throws more, lands more and has better accuracy, along with superior take downs, defense and submissions.

Condit has been stepping up his wrestling game as of his last fight and is favored to win. He ranks 8th in the UFC with total strikes landed. Flying knees are always something “The Natural Born Killer” isn’t afraid to launch at any given moment.

Expect to see a showdown as both men are very aggressive fighters and will be throwing heavy hands and going for the finish. However, Kampmann predicts the finish.
