Roselle Park, NJ (August 13th, 2013)– Real Combat Media Boxing Radio returns with a super packed show for episode 25. Our host is Krysti Rosario of Los Angeles,CA, who is a former national amateur boxing champ. Krysti is also a current AIBA referee, judge and is a college boxing trainer. Our co-host for this episode, will be the popular boxing radio personality, Richard ‘The Boxing Prophet’ Solomon of Queens, New York. Our guest media will be Rusty Rubin. Rusty was the former owner and Editor of Ring Sports Magazine and Ring Sports.com. Rusty has won several writing awards and has around 50 years of boxing writing experience.
Our featured guest is rising undefeated American Heavyweight star, Deontay Wilder. Deontay has knocked out every opponent he faced and is coming off a dominating performance where he knocked out former world champion, Sergei Liakovich in just one round. We will be discussing what is next for Deontay’s future.
Our next guest is one of the pioneers of women’s boxing, Deirdre Gogarty. Deirdre was a former world champion and had a classic battle with boxing great, Christy Martin in 1996, by taking her the distance, despite being outweighed by 20lbs. This fight helped put women’s boxing on the map.
Our third guest is Daniel Geale. Daniel Geale is the current Australian IBF World Champion. Daniel is fighting Darren Barker this weekend on HBO in Atlantic City.
The topics for this episode are the Wilder vs. Liakovich recap, the Kovalev vs. Cleverly preview and we will preview Geale vs. Barker. We will also discuss some of the new matches that were signed on the Mayweather vs. Canelo undercard.
