Larry Holmes To Appear at Dee Lee Promotion May 24 Westchester Fight Card

Larry Holmes, the former World Heavyweight champion known as ‘The Easton Assassin’, will make an appearance at Westchester County Center for the scheduled ten bout card being promoted by Dee Lee Promotion, according to promoter Diane Lee Fischer. Ms. Fischer has promoted at Tropicana Atlantic City in recent years.
Real Combat Media update: Holmes did not appear at the event. He was a no-show. It is hoped Holmes will appear at a Dee Lee Promotion event in the future. Dee Lee Promotion has three cards scheduled in the fall of 2013.
The main event will feature a ten round bout for the interim International Women’s Boxing Federation Featherweight title between interim titleholder Ronica Jeffrey of Brooklyn, 12-0, and Canadian challenger Olivia Gerula, 13-13, two minute rounds. Gerula, the former World Boxing Council female Super Featherweight champion, fought in five consecutive WBC world title bouts, and will be fighting in her seventh consecutive world title bout, WBC, WIBF and WIBA 130 pound championship bouts. Gerula previously held the interim North American Boxing Federation and WBC Silver female Featherweight titles.
