CHAEL SONNEN VS. ANDERSON SILVA 2 MAIN EVENT

Round 1

Here we go ! Sonnen comes out swinging and Sonnen takes him down immediately. Sonnen lands punches in Silva’s solid guard. Sonnen is landing a lot of strikes early on. Silva is using the butterfly guard and then switches to single guard. Silva is protecting himself well from the guard. Nice Shots landed by Sonnen. Sonnen clears the guard and controls Silva for the final 45 seconds.

Round 2

Both fighters start out in the clinch up against the cage. Silva has solid takedown defense. Sonnen attempts a spinning backfist and is knocked down by Silva. Sonnen gets back up and Silva lands a huge knee to the body. Silva finishes the fight by a TKO by a referee stoppage.

After the fight Silva shows good sportsmanship and invited Sonnen to his house or a barbeque. Anderson Silva is the greatest fighter in UFC history !

TITO ORTIZ VS. FORREST GRIFFIN 2 CO- MAIN EVENT


Round 1

Forrest starts out the fight with a kick heavy striking mentality, but Tito took Forrest down in just a little over a minute into the round. Griffin used a butterfly transition to stand back up. Forrest is controlling the round with his striking. Ortiz is attempting takedowns but Forrest is fending them off handily. 

Round 2

Not even 15 seconds into the round and Tito drops Forrest with an uppercut. Forrest jumps right back up but Tito wades in and is patient with his strikes. Forrest started throwing wild punches, more as a defense mechanism, but starts to calm down and throw better strikes. They then go toe-to-toe at this point, but Forrest is starting to get the better of the exchanges. Tito isn’t checking any of these leg kicks. Tito looks exhausted three minutes into the round. Tito attempts a last minute takedown, but all he gets is a barrage of hammer fists for his efforts

Round 3

Forrest is setting a pace that Tito obviously can’t hang with. Tito drops Forrest again and is able to jump on him, but isn’t using his ground striking effectively. Griffin edges himself to the cage and stands up. Griffin is continuing his dominant striking. As soon as the round ends, Forrest walks right out the ring, with Dana sprinting after him. No clue as to why he left, but he returned to hear the results. During the post fight interview, Forrest takes the mic and interviews Tito.

Judges score the fight: 29-27 UD for Forrest.

RCM scores the fight: Forrest wins the UD 30-27
