Rd 1 – Andy versus Chavez. These guys are trying to feel each other out. A good feeling out process for the first round. Chavez caught Andy with a very good left hook.
Rd 4 – Andy Lee is scoring a more accurate punches, but then all of a sudden Julio Cesar Chavez comes back with some power punches of his own. Chavez won that round.
Rd 5 – Andy Lee comes out firing. Left hook to the body by Andy Lee. Chavez comes back firing with power shots. Chavez is clearly the bigger fighter. Lee is a better skilled boxer. Andy Lee has more diversity in his arsenal. Chavez is so much bigger than Andy Lee and Andy has to deal with that size differential.
Rd 6 – Chavez comes in hard especially with a left hook to the body. Andy Lee dances and moves backwards. Chavez’s firing so many shots especially to the body, right hooks, right uppercuts, and left hooks to the body, over and over again. Andy Lee is trying to find the proper range to keep him off. Chavez Junior is a great body puncher.
Rd 7 – Chavez pours in with power punches. Andy Lees on the retreat. Lee cannot deal with the power punches of Chavez. Chavez is walking him down. The referee stops the fight after Lee could not punch back from taking too much punishment.
Julio Chavez Junior survives his sternest test in spectacular fashion. Will Chavez go up to 168lbs or fight Sergio Martinez next ?
