Future HOF Winky Wright has retired
Winky Wright has called it a career after last night’s gutsy performance against Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin. Here is what Winky had to say today on Twitter:
@RealWinkyWright: It was fun while it lasted I did what I set out to do and that was to be great. Part of being a good boxer is knowing when to call it quits
@RealWinkyWright: If I can’t be the champion again theres no need to keep boxing. But I thank all of u from the bottom of my heart for always supporting me.
Winky Wright (51-6, 25 KOs) finishes his Hall of Fame Career with a collection of outstanding accomplishments.

Firstly, Winky as an underdog in 2004 beat mosley, people said Mosley just had a bad night, so unlike so many paper Champions out there, he gives the well desreved former Champion a second shot, then repeats the out come. Secondly, my favorite moment of his career was when he gave me the opportunity at our IBF, WBC unification eliminator and that was a war that i’ll never forget.
