FLOYD MAYWEATHER VS. MIKE TYSON IS OFFICIAL – VIDEO

By Robert Brizel, Real Combat Media Head Boxing Correspondent

Las Vegas, NV (September 5th, 2025)–Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, 50-0 with 27 knockouts, Las Vegas, Nevada, has yet to make an official bout comeback, with Manny Pacquiao still calling him out for a rematch. Tyson, 50-7 with 44 knockouts, Henderson, Nevada, having fought Jake Paul in an official eight-round round with two-minute rounds, has agreed to a bout this reporter calls the ‘King of Crazy’ because the very concept of Mayweather versus Tyson is on a level of par far above any Jake Paul bout. At this rate, it would be like putting Carlos Monzon or Marvelous Marvin Hagler in with Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua. The bout seems to be making sense of senselessness.

These ‘freak show’ matchups, exhibitions or for real, are not designed to be figured out. These freak show bouts are designed to be exactly what they purport to be-good entertainment to get you out of your head. Break out the concession pizza, popcorn, big soft salted pretzels, Buffalo chicken, chicken wings, hamburgers, sausages and hot dogs on the bun, pulled pork atop macaroni and cheese, tortilla chips with warm nacho cheese dip, pink lemonade, Pepsi, Sprite, Mountain Dew, bottled water, spiked hard seltzer, Michelob, Coors, and Budweiser. Folks, get your tickets now. This may not be good boxing, nor productive boxing, however it is solid entertainment boxing.

Floyd Mayweather versus Iron Mike Tyson is predicted to end in an exhibition draw. Mike Tyson versus Floyd Mayweather fight odds have not yet been released by any sportsbook, however USA TODAY Sports’ boxing expert views the fight as Mayweather’s to lose, with current odds around -140 if Mayweather wins, and ex-champ Mike Tyson at +160 to win.

There is no parallel for this bizarre boxing freak show bouts. All that is known is they will take place. For the money involved, why not for these participants? That seems to be the reason behind these matchups.

Mike Tyson, age 50 and Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be age 48, are set to face off in an exhibition fight scheduled for Spring 2026. The fight is 8 rounds (2 minutes per round). Weight Class is uncertain, possibly open-weight or heavyweight, and the potential venues are Las Vegas, Dubai, or Riyadh

This highly anticipated match promises to be a cultural event, blending sports, entertainment, and technology on a global stage. The contrast between Tyson’s ferocious style and Mayweather’s defensive genius will make for an intriguing matchup. Both fighters are legendary in their own right, with impressive records and accolades:
