Hamburg, Germany (December 11th, 2024)-– World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman Saldivar has been reelected to another four year term at the 62nd annual WBC Convention in Hamburg, Germany. The convention is taking place between December 8, 2024, and December 14, 2024.

Mauricio came to prominence when he was elected to complete the term of his father, the late Do Jose Sulaiman, in 2014, for the remaining two years of Jose Sulaiman’s four year term of office, and has now served 10 years as WBC President. Sulaiman was reelected the first time at the WBC virtual convention in 2020, held remotely at that time to the Coronavirus Pandemic and isolation rules then in force.

Sulaiman, 54, a sports administrator and Mexican businessman, has worked tirelessly to evolve, improve and promote the sport of boxing since his initial election, with an emphasis on boxing safety.
