Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez Plans to fight Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford later in 2024 or in 2025.

By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent

Canelo Said, “Terence Crawford is a great fighter, obviously, [fighting] three divisions below (me). As I’ve said before, I’ve fought bigger guys in my category, smaller guys, older guys, younger guys. At the end of the day, I was born to fight, and I’ll fight anyone, obviously on terms that suit me best (to my advantage).”

Crawford will next fight on August 3, 2024, will step in against rising European fighter Israil Madrimov, whose 10-0-1 record is built on limited opposition. Madrimov and will enter the ring as the underdog for the vacant WBA World Super Welterweight and WBO interim World Super Welterweight title.

Crawford, age 36, 40-0 with 31 knockouts, Omaha, Nebraska, the World Welterweight champion, will jump up two weight classes from super welterweight if he beats Madrimov to challenge World Super Middleweight champion Canelo, 61-2-2 with 39 knockouts, Guadalajara, Mexico. Bud has been calling out Canelo for a while, and the bout, despite the weight disparity, represents a serious challenge for both combatants.
