NFL Star Le’Veon Bell Wins Five Round Decision on Misfits Boxing 15 Card at NRG Arena Houston

Houston, Texas (May 26th, 2024)–  In the featured bout on a seven bout Misfits 15 boxing card at NRG Arena in Houston Texas, on Saturday night, May 25, 2024, former National Football League star, cruiserweight Le’Veon Bell, won a five round decision over debuting Tristan Hamm. The NRG card featured three unique five round bouts, and seven pro debuts.

 Bell, 2-1, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, won a controversial decision featuring three different scorecards in a rare five round bout, the first five round pro bout this reporter has ever heard of in the modern era. A big left hand from Hamm, 0-1 Whitehorse Territory, Yukon, Canada had Bell in trouble early. Bell recovered to put a beating on Hamm rest of the way.

 Bell, who played eight seasons in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, and Baltimore Ravens, has fought his first three pro bouts against debuting fighters. This bout was supposed to go off at light heavyweight. Both fighters weighed in at 188 pounds. Bell weighed over 200 in his NFL years.

Scoring: 50-44, 49-45, 48-46 Bell. No knockdown, Bell down in fifth from slip near final bell.

 This bout was a rematch of the March 23, 2024 Smith vs. Moo No Contest, due to a bomb scare which forced the evacuation of World Wide Stages Arena in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
