Brick City Friday Night Fights

Vito Mielnicki Jr. , Slick Mike Anderson, and Thomas LaManna Headline 13 Bout Brick City Friday Night Fights Prudential Center Newark Card

By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent

Newark, NJ (December 26th, 2023)– New Jersey favorite sons Vito Mielnicki Jr., Michael ‘Slick’ Anderson, and Thomas ‘Cornflake’ LaManna will fight three 10 round main event bouts, as headliners on a spectacular Brick City Friday Night Fights / Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) pro boxing card on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Super welterweight rising star Mielnicki, 16-1 with 11 knockouts, Roseland, New Jersey, is predicted to win by 10 round unanimous decision over veteran Salim Larbi, 22-12-3 with six knockouts, Rahway, New Jersey, by way of Cambral, France. Mielnicki went the 10 round distance with Limberth Ponce at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in October 2022, and Larbi represents a survivor type fighter Mielnicki might have to outpoint as his career continues to move forward. If Mielnicki brings his ‘A’ game, he could stop Larbi in round six or later.

Seasoned welterweight pro Michael Anderson, 23-3-1 with 17 knockouts, from Edison, New Jersey, age 43, is predicted to win by 10 round unanimous decision over veteran trial horse Eudy ‘AK47’ Bernardo, 25-6 with 18 knockouts, Elias Pina, Dominican Republic. Bernardo has been knocked out twice in his career, and the only question is how long the experienced Anderson will have to chase Bernardo down or get out of frequent clinches.

Former world middleweight title challenger Thomas ‘Cornflake’ LaManna, 36-5-1 with 15 knockouts, from Millville, New Jersey, trained by Bozy Ennis, is predicted to win by ninth round stoppage over 28-7-3 with 12 knockouts, Reading, Pennsylvania. LaManna has won six bouts in a row, while Hernandez is coming off an eight round decision win over Ezekiel Urena Santana last month. LaManna could end this bout early if he has done the work. Hernandez is a longshot to go the distance.
