R & B Promotions and Hard Hitting Promotions Showboat Atlantic City Preview

 Atlantic City, NJ (October 23rd, 2022)–Promoter Alex Barbosa’s R & B Promotions, in conjunction with Manny Rivera’s Hard Hitting Promotions, will present its second professional boxing card at Showboat Atlantic City, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Saturday evening, October 29, 2022, with eight exciting bout of boxing, featuring welterweight contender Anthony ‘Juice’ Young, and hot and cold super welterweight Sydney ‘The Jackal’ Maccow.

 In the main event, welterweight contender Young, 23-2 with eight knockouts, Atlantic City, New Jersey, winner of 12 straight including a stoppage over former world champion Sadam Ali, is favored to win by fourth or fifth-round stoppage over Jose Zaragoza, 9-5-1 with three knockouts, Sedalia, Missouri, by way of Jalisco, Mexico. Zaragoza has won seven of his last 10 pro bouts, including a first-round knockout over 8-2 Ricardo Valdovinos in August 2022 in San Diego, California.

 In the preliminary to the main event, the hot and cold 7-8 Sydney ‘The Jackal’ Maccow, who lost five in a row, but is now undefeated in his last four bouts, is predicted to go the distance in a close bout with Brandon Idrogo, 6-3 with six knockouts, Ellenville, New York. If the bout ends abruptly, Idrogo could win by knockout, as he has never won by decision. The bout is a toss-up.

 Six bouts of four rounds duration are featured on the undercard. 1-0 Philadelphia welterweight prospect Anthony Dill is favored by four-round split decision over 1-2 Aaron Newmones of Atlantic City, New Jersey in a close technical bout. Debuting heavyweight Daniel Bean of Old Bridge, New Jersey, is favored by third-round stoppage over 0-1 Terrick Maven of Vineland, New Jersey. 1-1 super lightweight prospect Leonidas Sopranidis is favored by unanimous decision over 4-5-1 Michael Crain of Smyrna, Delaware. 2-1 cruiserweight Elijah Lynah of Brooklyn, New York, is predicted to fight to a four-round draw with 1-2 Tunde Fatiregun of Elizabeth, New Jersey.

 Debuting flyweight Kenyon Sessoms is predicted to win by first or second-round knockout over 0-1 Brett Yuschock of Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania. Debuting welterweight Deyshawn Williams of Elmhurst, Queens, New York, is predicted to win by second-round stoppage over 0-1 Kevin Schmidt of Cumberland, Indiana, in the opening bout.

 Doors open 5:30 P.M., first bout 7 P.M. on Saturday night, October 29, 2022, at Atlantic City’s Showboat Hotel. The R & B Promotions card will be streamed live on BXNGTV.com.
