Demarcus Corley Returns Oct 29th in Tennessee
Jackson, Tennesse (October 20th, 2022)– Champions Enterprise HUB City Promotions presented by Boxing Promoter Lamont Ingram will showcase an amateur and professional boxing card featuring former world champion Demarcus “Chop Chop” Corely in the main event.
The card is scheduled to take place on October 29th in Jackson, Tennesse at the Champs Event Center. Promoter Lamont Ingram wants to bring entertainment to boxing fans by featuring established professionals and local amateurs. “I wanted to do a boxing show that was good for professionals looking to continue their career and non-professionals wanting a career.” Says Ingram. “It’s really important that you get boxing fans, amateurs, and professionals in one building for boxing.”
The highlight of the event will be former World Boxing Organization Junior Welterweight champion Demarcus Corely in 6 rounds of action. Corely who has been in the ring with such former champions Viktor Postol, Marcos Maidana, Miguel Cotto, and Floyd Mayweather is exiting about his return to the ring for the first time since 2021. “I’m happy to be getting back in the ring this year and staying active.” Says Corely. “I have been in the ring for over two decades and the desire to fight has never left me. I look forward to being in Tennessee. It’s always a good thing to be around young boxers and amateurs who want to go pro. Keeps you young.”
Doors open at 5pm and amateur bouts start at 6pm with professional bouts scheduled to start at 8pm.
About the event
HUB City Fight Night is a fundraising event for local programs supporting assistance for At-Risk children and other disadvantaged populations in the community. This event is in partnership with Champion Enterprises, a Tennessee-based boxing promotional company.
