R&B Promotions Presents Battleship Boxing! A Nine Bout Card on Battleship New Jersey in Camden on August 28

By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent

Camden, NJ (August 21, 2022)– R & B Promotions will present Battleship Boxing, an exciting nine-bout card of professional boxing, featuring top prospects on Sunday, August 28, 2022, in Camden, New Jersey, on the Battleship New Jersey, featuring undefeated Philadelphia junior middleweight prospect Tahmir Smalls in the six rounds main event.

Smalls, 8-0 with five knockouts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will face twelve bout veteran Joel Guevara, 4-7-1 with three knockouts, Charleston, West Virginia. In the six-round preliminary to the main event, 0-0-1 welterweight southpaw Michael Gibbons of Atlanta, Georgia, coming off a majority draw in his professional debut at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia last October 2021 with Boiman Karmo, will face eleven bout veteran Danny Murray, 5-6, Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey. Murray has gone the distance eight times in his career, most recently with Michael Hughes at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City in March 2022 in a six rounder, so Gibbons versus Murray should be a great matchup.

Seven bouts of four rounds duration, which feature some of today’s top boxing prospects and hopefuls from New Jersey, comprise the action packed undercard.

Junior middleweights Ramses Brown of Bellmawr, New Jersey, and Anthony Dill of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, will fight each other in their professional debuts. Eliezer Olmeda, 1-2 welterweight from Gloucester, New Jersey, will face 1-0 Aaron Newmones of Atlantic city, New Jersey. Heavyweight Terrick Maven, 0-1, Vineland, New Jersey, will face debuting Daniel Bean of Old Bridge, New Jersey.

Comeback Philadelphia Super bantamweight Tyrone Arzeno, who lost a split decision to Basyzbek Baratov at 2300 Arena, will face 1-1 Eder Clervoix of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. 1-0 Philadelphia lightweight southpaw Drew Aguilar, will face Carlos Nunez of Ecuador, who fought to a majority draw with Saleh Ali in his professional debut in July 2022 in East Rutherford. Finally, 23 bout Philadelphia cruiserweight veteran Greg Hackett, will face 0-2 Tunde Fatiregun of Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial doors open for the boxing event at 3:30 P.M., first bout 5 P.M. on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at 62 Battleship Place, Camden, New Jersey. Tickets are $100 and $50 at the door or purchase online at https://randbpromo.ticketleap.com/pro Parking is available for $10 to $15 per vehicle in proximity of the event.
