Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko Responds To Russian Claims Their Military is Not Targeting Civilians

Kyiv, Ukraine (March 19th, 2022)– Russia must immediately suspend military operations in Ukraine, the United Nations International Court of Justice has ruled in The Hague. By a vote of 13 to two [with Vice-President Kirill Gevorgian of Russia, and Judge Xue Hanqin of China casting the two dissenting votes] the United Nations Court ruled Russia has to immediately suspend the military operations it commenced on 24 February 2022.The court’s ruling, the first verdict on the current European military crisis handed down by the U.N. World Court since the Russian invasion began, is in response to a suit filed by Ukraine on February 27, 2022. The United Nations Court ruling is nonbinding, Moscow is not abiding by the new ruling at present, and the court has no direct means of enforcing it in Ukraine.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, in a new short video clip which somehow got out of Kyiv, and has received over seven million views of YouTube and other online video sources as it went viral worldwide, needed only one word to shut down false claims the Russian military isn’t attacking civilians as they invade Ukraine. The former world heavyweight champion in a brief interview with 7 News Australia reporter Chris Reason, spoke as he toured residential areas just bombed in downtown Kyiv. Walking past one the remains of one blown up apartment building, Reason asked Klitschko what he thinks of the claim the Russian Federation military is only attacking military targets.

In one will go down as the most famous Australian interview of a former world heavyweight champion since Rocky Marciano was interviewed on Australian television in the 1960s, “Bullshit!” said Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, who then clarified “Sorry……”  pointed to the bombed building to his left side, and demanded to know “Where is the military target? This (residential) building is a military target?”
