India, 17th September 2021 – Two-time World Champion Amir Khan and India’s inaugural professional boxing league Super Boxing League (SBL) in association with the World Boxing Council (WBC) are thrilled to announce the ‘Amir Khan Crypto Fight Night’ scheduled to be hosted on 16th October 2021 at Dubai’s La Perle.
The unrivaled star-studded event, sponsored by Savy Capital, the crypto community partners, Bybit and Roy Blackstone, not only aspires to showcase Dubai as the future hub of blockchain technology, but will for the very first time interweave the world’s fastest-growing crypto community with the world’s oldest and most efficient combat sport in the world. One of the youngest crypto traders in the world, RookieXBT will engage in an intimate showdown with the world-renowned crypto investor Loomdart, contesting for the world’s first-ever WBC Crypto Belt. Poised to be the defining highlight of the event, crypto-trading aficionados will get a chance to interact with and witness their crypto colossi relinquishing their digital avatars and engaging in live action.
In 2017 SBL established itself in India as the country’s foremost professional boxing league with co-ownership stakes by leading Bollywood celebrities such as Sunny Leone, Suniel Shetty, Sonu Sood, Kanika Kapoor, Rana Daggubati, Sohail Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh. After having hosted a season on home turf, SBL travelled to Jeddah and Dubai and earned the title of becoming the first combat sports league to introduce boxing in the Middle East. The promotion is set to host its’ next season in India in 2022 that will embrace a hotly anticipated face-off between Amir Khan and Neeraj Goyat. This clash will be first of its kind where a professional boxer from India is going to fight another professional boxer of Pakistan Origin. This unprecedented fight is expected to be a great success considering the affinity of regional audiences over India vs. Pakistan clashes.
