COMBATE AMERICAS LIVE TELEVISION EVENT IN DALLAS METROPLEX ON FRIDAY, NOV. 1, LIVE ON UNIVISION AND TUDN

MIAMI  – October 15, 2019 – TS-1 Promotions announced six new bouts today for the Ā Combate Americas live television Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event at Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas Metroplex, Texas on Friday, Nov. 1.

The Combate Americas live televised main card airs in the U.S. on Univision (12 a.m. ET/PT) and TUDN (12 a.m. ET/9 p.m. PT).

Among the new matchups announced today for the live television event were a featured, 153-pound catchweight affair between two ferocious competitors –Ā Luis LunaĀ (16-7) andĀ Michael SantiagoĀ (22-12) – as well as a women’s 130-pound catchweight clash between undefeated upstartĀ Abril AnguianoĀ (2-0) and fellow strikerĀ Paola RamirezĀ (1-2).

In the previously announced, 175-pound catchweight main event, rising starĀ Gilbert UrbinaĀ (5-1) of Welasco, Texas will square off with fellow Combate Americas newcomer and Team Alpha Male standoutĀ Angelo “Baby Monsta” TrevinoĀ (7-3) of Sacramento, Calif.

The 34-year-old Luna of Seminole, Texas is an aggressive, well-rounded finisher, aiming for his third straight win in what will mark his debut with Combate Americas.Ā  The Jackson-Wink team member is coming off a majority decision win overĀ Dez HillĀ on AprilĀ  13.

Santiago is another explosive finisher, who has defeated an astounding 81 percent of his opponents via T(KO) or submission.Ā  The 30-year-old resident of North Lake, Ill. will look to record his second straight win after producing a second round (3:22) submission (guillotine choke) ofĀ Alonzo MartinezĀ on May 30.

The 20-year-old Anguiano of Garland via Zacatecas, CDMX, Mexico is a highly-touted striker who burst onto the professional MMA scene at the beginning of this year, scoring a 28-second TKO onĀ Sha WhittingtonĀ on February 22, and following up the stunning debut with another first round (3:15) TKO ofĀ Erica TorresĀ on June 22.

Fighting out of Carlsbad, Calif., Ramirez is a 33-year-old native of Guadalajara, Jal., Mexico.Ā  She has been re-booked to fight after her scheduled, October 11 matchup withĀ Marilia MoraisĀ was scratched from the Combate Americas fight card in Tucson.

Ramirez’s lone fight under the promotion of Combate Americas took place on April 25, 2016, and ended in spectacular fashion when she scored a devastating, first round (4:05) knockout onĀ Amber TackettĀ with a superman punch.

In one of four preliminary bouts announced today for the event in Garland, unbeatenĀ Hector “El Matador” FajardoĀ (2-0) of Sacramento andĀ Aaron VickersĀ (3-2) of Dallas, Texas will face off at featherweight (145 pounds).

UnbeatenĀ Paul GarzaĀ (1-0) of Houston will take onĀ Ricky RomoĀ (0-0) of Denton, Texas in a lightweight (155 pounds) scrap.

Aldair RomeroĀ (2-1) of Dallas via Lima, Peru will go to battle withĀ Melvin LopezĀ (0-0) of Fort Worth, Texas at flyweight (125 pounds).

A matchup between two professional debut competitors will seeĀ Francisco MoralesĀ (0-0) of Fort Worth via Irapuato, Gto., Mexico meetĀ Cain BunchĀ (0-0) of Stilwell Okla. at featherweight.
