Three-Time Olympian Anvar Yunusov and Erik Spring Win 8 Rounders at Sugar House

Philadelphia, PA (March 30th, 2019)– Super featherweight Anvar Yunusov of Reading, Pennsylvania, who represented Tajikistan at the 2018, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games, came off the canvas in round three to deck Carlos Colon in rounds four and five, and remained undefeated with a unanimous eight-round decision win at Sugar House Casino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in a ten-bout card promoted by Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions, on Friday evening, March 30, 2019.

Yunusov goes to 7-0 with three knockouts. Colon fell to 5-2, three knockouts, Lares, Puerto Rico. The bout was not the main event, but it was the most significant bout on the Friday night card at SugarHouse. Yunusov is 32 years old, a late but significant rise for the most experienced Olympian.
