For the second time in 30 days, Detroit Michigan light heavyweight Taylor Duerr and welterweight Lanardo Tyner are in action on Friday, March 8, 2019.

Duerr, undefeated at 9-0-1, faces dangerous 13 bout Massachusetts veteran Jesus Javier Cintron in a scheduled six rounder on a nine-bout card at Armory in Lawrence, Indiana, promoted by 4 Champs Promotions. The card is entitled Midwest Boxing Showcase.

Duerr, trained by retired Detroit super lightweight contender Marlon Thomas, contacted Real Combat Media by telephone last night, and stated he, Thomas, and manager Phil Awada looking forward to getting some quality work and rounds in tonight, in advance of his eight-round vacant Michigan Light Heavyweight title bout with Detroit’s 10-2 James Ballard on a Carlos Llinas Promotions card at Motor City Casino in Detroit,on June 7, 2019.

“Ballard recently sparred with me once, and he did very well as I was having an off day. Ballard then proposed the bout, and my camp accepted. He believes he can beat me. We’ll just see about that when we fight for the vacant Michigan title in June at Motor City Casino. I’m not scared of him. I’m gonna take him out!” predicted Duerr.

Tyner, 35-14-2 with 22 knockouts, will face undefeated 10-0 Lou DiBella light middleweight prospect Radzhab ‘Python’ Butaev of Salsk, Russian Federation at Maryland Live Casino in Hanover, Maryland, on a nine-bout card promoted by Tony Jeter Promotions.
