Unbeaten Michigan Fighters Isiah Jones & Taylor Duerr, Central US Prospects of Month

Two undefeated Michigan regional prospects, middleweight Isiah Jones and cruiserweight Taylor ‘Machine Gun’ Duerr, are the Real Combat Media USA Central Region ‘Prospects of the Month’ for February 2019.


Undefeated rising Michigan Dave McWater middleweight Isiah Jones, 8-0 with three knockouts, Detroit, Michigan, impressed this past weekend with an eight round unanimous decision win over veteran Lanardo Tyner at the Motor City Casino’s Sound Board Detroit. Jones, age 24, a former two time AAU Detroit and National Golden Gloves open champion in 2015 and 2016, is poised to step up to a 10 round bout soon if he keeps progressing.


Undefeated rising Michigan light cruiserweight Taylor ‘Machine Gun’ Duerr turned pro in November 2016. Duerr, 9-0-1 with seven knockouts, Howell, Michigan, trains out of the Phil Awada gym in the Detroit area. Duerr was impressive with solid hand and foot speed, timing, power and conditioning when he recorded a second-round stoppage of veteran Nicholas Lavin on the Carlos Llinas Promotions undercard at the Motor City Casino’s Sound Board Detroit. Duerr is poised to step up to an eight-rounder later in 2019.
