SUPERFLY 2 HBO PREVIEW & WEIGH-IN

By Victor O Garcia, Real Combat Media Head Boxing Video Reporter

Inglewood, Ca (February 23, 2018)— On Saturday night, HBO Boxing and Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions will air the  “SUPERFLY 2” card, which brings the viewers an action-packed event with flyweight and super flyweight world title matches. After a great show last September 2017, with “fight of the year” candidate and “knockout of the year” candidate, SUPERFLY 2 is destined to repeat another great night.

After defeating Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez in a controversial majority-decision back in March 2017, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (43-4-1, 39 KOs) settled the unfinished business with Gonzalez six months after by defeating him via KO. Now Rungvisai has been challenged by one of the best fighters coming out of Mexico at this moment in time. His name is Francisco “Gallito” Estrada (36-2, 25 KOs) and has been compared to future hall of fame Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Márquez. The two fighter will be competing for Rungvisai’s WBC Super Flyweight World Title, in a live broadcast by HBO Boxing After Dark, starting at 6:30pm PT.

The co-main event will feature a boxing’s classic rivalry between Mexico and Puerto Rico. Carlos “El Principito” Cuadras (36-2-1, 27 KOs)  of Mexico will take on McWilliams Arroyo (16-3, 14 KOs) of Puerto Rico. These two warriors will be fighting for the WBC Super Flyweight Silver title in an all-out brawl.

The first televised fight features IBF Flyweight World Champion Donnie Nietes (40-1-4, 22 KOs) who has not lost a match since 2004, will take on Argentinian slugger Juan Carlos Reveco (39-3, 19 KOs) in a 12-round championship bout, for Nietes IBF Flyweight World title.

2000 US Olympian and former world champion Brian Viloria (38-5, 23 KOs) is also on the card and will take on undefeated Ukrainian fighter Artem Dalakian (15-0, 11 KOs). The two will be competing for the vacant WBA Flyweight World title. This fight will not be televised but you can catch the non-televised bouts on THE RING MAGAZINE official website RINGTV.com
