Terence Crawford Undisputed Champion
You can now add Terence Crawford to the list of undisputed boxing champions. Crawford beat Julius Indongo on Saturday night to become the undisputed champion at 140 lbs winning the WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBF titles. Indongo tried to trade vigorously with the with the strongest and smartest fighter in the division, and it cost him dearly. In the second round of the fight Indongo was knocked down and in the third round it was a left to the body that didn’t let Indongo get up from the canvas. Recently Crawford posted on his twitter “I’m hungry and I need it all. #147”. Do you think Crawford will be as dominant at 147 as he was at 140?

Floyd Mayweather had promised a knockout and he kept his promise Saturday night. In the 10th round Conor McGregor had completely gassed out and took a beating at the hand of Mayweather until the referee said enough was enough. Even though McGregor got what was coming to him, he was able to impress many boxing fans and critics alike by winning a few of early rounds by boxing Mayweather. Interesting enough, McGregor’s power and his confidence were not present in the ring as it is in the UFC. It goes to show that boxing and the MMA should respect each other’s sports. Mayweather has said time and time again that he will not be returning to the boxing ring and it looks like McGregor won’t either.
Miguel Cotto is now the WBO Junior Middleweight Champion after beating Yoshihiro Kamegai via unanimous decision. Kamegai took a beating throughout the night because it seems like he forgot his defense at home. After the fight Cotto talked about how he was going for one last fight in December.
“I tried to do my best, and I think I did that tonight,” said Miguel Cotto. “I am happy with my performance. Kamegai is a tough fighter and opponent. It was during round five or six that I knew he was going to make it to the 12 rounds. Come December 31, I will retire. I’ve done it all. I’m 36 going on 37, and I think I’ve come to the end of my career. I will fight once more in December. I’ll let Freddie [Roach] tell you who I want.”
They want the winner of Canelo vs Golovkin. If Canelo wins then this probably unlikely but if Golovkin wins then I think we might see this going down.

Margarito vs Jones
Antonio Margarito beat Carson Jones by unanimous decision on Saturday night but just barely. In the early round Margarito looked like he still had just enough to continue his career. The two accidentally clashed heads in early on causing a gash in Margarito’s right eye (no, not the eye that Pacquiao destroyed). From there on Margarito started to gas out and getting knocked out was only a matter of time. Just as it appeared that Margarito was going to step into the 8th round and get knocked out, the doctor said that the fight had to be stopped. From there on the fight went to the score cards and the fight was given to Margarito by unanimous decision. Now Margarito is saying he wants to fight Cotto, but Cotto hasn’t mentioned a thing about him since. If Cotto wants to make an easy buck the fight is there.

Anthony Joshua Returns!
Anthony Joshua will be back on October 28th against Kubrat Pulev at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Principality Stadium has a capacity of 33,280 and it’s likely to sell out just like all his recent fights. So the question is why doesn’t he fight someone with a bigger name? Plane and simple this is Joshua’s mandatory. If and when Joshua gets through Pulev, who would you like to see him fight next?

Canelo Giving Up WBC Belt Will Cost Him?
Saul ‘Canelo’ Álvarez is always talking about the legacy that he wants to leave in boxing. He has said time and time again that he wants to be viewed as one of the best fighters in the sport. His upcoming fight against Gennady Golovkin will allow him to leave a big impression on the sport. If Canelo wins this fight against Golovkin, all he would need to do is beat Billy Joe Saunders in the fight after to become the undisputed champion at 160 lbs. This means Canelo would have the WBC, WBO, WBA, and the IBF belts at 160. Who wouldn’t want to be the undisputed champion? Well it looks like Canelo might not want to be. Canelo and the WBC, or also known as the “green belt”, have been in bad terms. The WBC had stripped Canelo of the WBC belt because he failed to successfully negotiate a fight with Gennady Golovkin. Now Canelo refuses to take the WBC 160 lb. belt if he wins this fight. But if Canelo wants to become a legend in the sport then why would he stop himself from becoming undisputed? Canelo should make up with the WBC because it would be extremely dumb for him to have this feud for the rest of his career. It would be a real shame for this opportunity to go to waste.
