LaManna

Thomas LaManna Returns at 154 Pounds, Atlantic City Preview

By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent

Atlantic City, NJ (January 28th, 2017)– Rising Promotions will present an exciting seven bout card of boxing action on Saturday evening, January 28, 2017, at Claridge Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, featuring popular fighter Thomas LaManna.

LaManna, 20-2 with nine knockouts, Millville, New Jersey, will be returning to the 154 pound weight class after losing a 10 round decision at welterweight in September 2016 at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia to 30-0-1 Dusty Harrison.  LaManna is a natural junior middleweight, and should not have committed to shrinking his weight to compete in the 147 pound weight class. His opponent in the main event, Eduardo ‘Cheito’ Flores, 25-24-3, Quito, Ecuador, who has 10 years of ring experience, but has lost all 21 of his professional bouts outside of his native Ecuador. Flores, a 52 bout veteran and trialhorse, has lost decisions to former world champions Kermit Cintron and Carlos Manuel Baldomir.

LaManna is predicted to win by eight round decision over Flores. LaManna should remain in the 154 pounds class if he is smart, as he has performed best at this weight during his six year ring career.

In the preliminary bout to the main event, cruiserweight Chuck ‘The Professor’ Mussachio, 19-3-2 with five knockouts, Wildwood, New Jersey, is predicted to win by fourth round stoppage over 39 year old super middleweight Michael Mitchell, 3-7-2, one knockout, Paterson, New Jersey. This bout could be over earlier, as Mitchell is too heavy.
